What To Do
General Aftercare Guidelines
Non-Adhesive Wrapping
Leave covering on for 2-3 hours. Upon removal, wash area thoroughly with anti-bacterial soap out of a pump bottle and warm water. After washing, air dry or pat dry gently with a clean paper towel.
Wash 2-5 times per day for the first few days. In 24-48 hours, after your tattoo has properly dried out, you may begin to apply a thin layer of fragrance free moisturizer as needed.
Adhesive Bandage
Leave adhesive bandage on for 5 days. Keep bandage clean and dry. When showering be careful not to soak the bandage and avoid excessive hot water.
It is normal for plasma and fluids to build up under the bandage. If properly applied, it will trap fluids in, allowing for reabsorption during the healing process.
If you experience any leakage of fluids before the 5 day period ends, remove adhesive bandage asap and follow normal aftercare guidelines.
Remove by running warm, soapy water over the bandage. Running water, such as in the shower, will help loosen the adhesive and relax the skin, making the removal process more comfortable. Roll up a corner of the bandage and remove carefully. Once removed, gently lather the area with a mild fragrance free soap and warm water, rinse, and lightly pat your tattoo dry with a clean paper towel.
Moisturize with a thin coat of fragrance free lotion as needed no more than 2-3 times daily.
